We Created Our Way into the Symbol Series Sooner Than We Expected

If you’ve been browsing around the site lately, you might have noticed something new: the Symbol Series — a fresh direction for Little Yellow Bungalow that speaks without words or phrases. Instead of text, this series uses meaningful symbols to express ideas and energy. This collection appeared earlier than expected — and we couldn’t ignore it!

Here’s the thing: the Symbol Series wasn’t supposed to show up just yet. We were fully focused on the Phrase Series — crafting culture-driven statements. During that process, an unexpected idea emerged — not words, but a subtle, graceful figure stretching toward the stars — the inspiration behind our Reach for the Stars design, a vision that everyone can relate to.

It wasn’t scheduled or planned. It came from a spark of inspiration within our creative flow — something that felt too good to pass up. And honestly, the design felt refreshingly unique in a sea of the usual.

That spark became the first design in what’s now the Symbol Series.

This is the reason that the Symbol Series only has one top — it was inspired by a creative moment that showed up unexpectedly.

We could have waited until the series was fully formed before mentioning it, but that wouldn’t honor the way creativity truly unfolds. Instead, we’re sharing the journey with our audience, inviting them to experience the creative process as it unfolds — raw, authentic, and surprising — offering an intimate glimpse into how new ideas take shape at LYB.
